Phantom League
Nothing stirs me up more than being asked to paint something that’s already been done. Bring the viewer into the painting, like someone you may have seen in a gallery sitting or standing for the longest time, just staring at a certain painting or piece of art.
That’s what inspired me to get wild with these sharks in an abstract format. Instead of just teeth and blood, or a serene underwater scene. Let’s make this scary, but adventurous, gasping for air, but afraid to move because you might miss whats next but also exciting and colorful.
This piece does all of those things for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Please visit my Coastal Art Page for more. The finishing touches for this painting happened at the Laughing Crab Gallery’s open house last fall.
