Samaritan Pacific Hospitals
After we got settled into our new Oregon home, my wife and I decided we should be serving our new community and looked for opportunities to do just that.
Painters paint, so that’s one of my primary ways to give back. Two of my first coastal paintings were, “Our Little Friend Plover” in oil, then “Baby Sandpipers” in acrylic. Since then, we’ve painted many ocean-going creatures.
Last fall, my wife got an email from the local Samaritan hospital in Newport. They were soliciting artwork for their new wing, so we submitted several pieces for consideration. They purchased one painting from each of us, and we each donated one.
Samaritan Pacific Hospitals has an amazing staff, so kind and helpful. Ursula Marinelli, Executive Director of Pacific Communities Health District Foundation, gave us our own personal tour prior to the official opening. God bless that place!
