My Famous Friends
Do you have a friend who maybe kinda’ looks like somebody famous? So you flatter him by mentioning it. Well, we have these two friends who are dear to us and I wanted to do something special for them to show our appreciation. So I painted these one-of-a-kind, look-alike paintings and mailed them out of the blue with a nice card. We attached a note on the card to say ‘don’t open until we’re all on a call with you.”
“Karl Twain” (not his real name – well, Karl is) fell off the end of the phone, with a half hour of continuous laughing. I included some of his sayings, and a few of Mark Twain’s, on the back of the painting. What a hit!
