Born in Canada and raised in Massachusetts, Charlie has always been drawn to art and its expression. At the age of 14, he sold his first painting and became his father’s apprentice in the field of sign-painting and silk screening. Charlie explores oil on panels and canvas, acrylics on canvas, and Prisma colors and gouache on gourds. His desire is to create vibrant, distinctive, almost renaissance-like experiences for the viewer and he hopes to bring a supernatural feeling to every painting, every created piece.
Charlie lives with his wife, Maggie on Pico Island, Azores, Portugal where he finds an amazing world that delights and stimulates his senses, providing endless ideas to be captured on canvas.
